Different Types of Interior Design

By decorating your house, apartment or any other life or area operating, you must initially decide which type of interior design is exact for you. There are many models of interior design which span all the various types of the tastes and influences. The manner that you decorate your space indicates not only much about you and of your personality, it can also influence the manner you feel, how you work and how you live. How you decorate falls on you, but is sure to remember that you test your daily space alive, thus choose something compatible with your lifestyle and personality.
Contemporary: Contemporary interior design, which is also known as modern design, is characterized by a minimalist take on decorating. Light, bright colors are usually paired with smooth and industrial designer home hardware to create an airy and hard feeling in a room. Contemporary decorating also uses minimalist furniture to keep cleaner lines and crisper silhouettes. A contemporary design style is great for smaller spaces because it keeps clutter to a minimum and uses bright colors to make spaces seem larger to the eye.
Traditional: Traditional design is what we think of when we think of our parent’s homes. It is characterized by rich textures and deep colors, and reflects the years gone by through the textiles, fixtures and designer home hardware that uses deeper brasses and golds to accent the home’s traditional architecture. This is a great style of design if you have a little more room to spare, or if you are just particularly drawn to more substantial furniture and love rich colors for your home.
Eclectic: There is no rule book that says you have to choose only one of the interior design styles. Many homes are decorated in the eclectic style, meaning that they pull inspiration from many different types of style. Eclectic can be tricky to do properly, since it is a mix of the other styles, but it can be done. Choose pieces that have reflections of the same elements in them so your home is eclectic, but still cohesive. It’s a fun way to incorporate all of your favorite pieces in your decorating, and can look beautiful if done properly.
