How to Design a Kitchen
Written on August 3, 2008 – 6:59 am | by Deepak Shrivastava
A critical first step in a successful kitchen remodel project is making important choices about the many different components in your kitchen. These components contribute to the functionality and attractiveness of the room in both subtle and not-so-subtle ways.
Functionality is very important, but don’t
overlook the overall “look and feel” of the space. The functionality will determine whether or not you like your kitchen, but the kitchen design will determine if you “love” your kitchen. And who doesn’t want to LOVE what some consider the most important room in the house?
When learning how to design a kitchen, you must decide which kitchen components you are going to keep, and which ones you are going to remove, upgrade or add as part of your remodel. It is important to remember that all components work together and affect each other in terms of cost, functionality, and appearance.
